BOMBA ESTÉREO GETS READY FOR THE GRAMMY AWARDS

NOMINATED FOR
“BEST LATIN ROCK, URBAN OR ALTERNATIVE ALBUM”

Last December, Bomba Estéreo was announced among the nominees for the 58th annual GRAMMY Awards as “Best Latin, Urban or Alternative Album” for their latest album, Amanecer released last June under the Sony US Latin label.
Since then, good news and acknowledgments have surrounded the band and the album. By the end of 2015, Bomba Estéreo and Amanecer were reviewed and charted by the industry’s most prestigious media and publications. Billboard’s editors picked Amanecer as the Best Latin Album of 2015 over established superstars such as Maná and Don Omar, among others.
In its last publication of 2015, legendary magazine Rolling Stone featured Amanecer as one of the 50 Best Albums of the Year, being the only Latin album in the list.
Back in November, the band was also nominated for the Latin GRAMMY, as “Best Alternative Album” and their hit single Fiesta as “Record of the Year”. During the Latin GRAMMY ceremony Bomba Estéreo performed Fiesta alongside Will Smith, who ended his 10-year musical hiatus.
In other acknowledgments and mentions, it is important to highlight that Amanecer was also included in the “Best of 2015” by Apple Music, “50 Best Albums of 2015” by NPR as well as other great reviews all over Colombia and the world.
This way, Bomba Estéreo arrives to the GRAMMY ceremony full of energy and positivism, not only for the nomination but also for what’s ahead in 2016, starting with the upcoming birth of singer and songwriter Li Saumet first child, followed by the launch of their world tour that will take them to Europe, U.S.A., Latin America and Asia.
