Irene by Greg Lavoi Embraces Spring 2014

In a return to Made in America Luxury, the iconic fashion house of legendary Hollywood designer Irene, presents their second collection of impeccable garden fresh offerings for Spring 2014.

Los Angeles, Ca.- The iconic American Luxury Fasion House of Irene, now under the design direction of Hollywood costume designer Greg LaVoi, moves into their second season, after a ground breaking re-launch of the house for fall 2013. On October 13th 2013, at 3:30 pm, Irene by Greg LaVoi will independently present their Spring/Summer 2014 collection at the Kyoto Gardens Rooftop, located in Downtown Los Angeles’ Little Tokyo district, to an invitation only  audience of press, stylists, and industry influencers.

LaVoi has tapped Lucie Doughty, Editorial Hair Director for John Paul Mitchell System, Lana Krizki, Artistic Trainer for Napoleon Perdis cosmetics, and Editorial Nail Stylist Jolene Brodeur for Morgan Taylor Lacquer as the Creative Beauty Team behind Irene’s Spring 2014 runway look. With a real interest in mixing their lush investment pieces with high-low price point accessories, in an effort to reflect how modern women really dress, LaVoi has also tapped the super chic shoes of Sole Society, founded by’s Brett Markinson, Danielle Kaplan luxury bags, and cult emerging eyewear brand Madison and Moros to collaborate with Spring 2014.

Irene by Greg LaVoi continues to pay homage to the history of the house through cleverly constructed suitings in Irene’s traditional mitered construction. Color-laden blooms of gorgeous flower gardens, the restrained severity of light and dark, and he shock of the warming yellow sun all creat Irene’s in-bloom harmony. Vivid silks, supple British woolens, custom loomed Made in America fabrics, French lace accents and Monet-esque silk jacquards, add feminine texture to the collection’s little playful dresses that are sure to be a spring 2014 must have.

IL Conte D’Alba Stella Rosa, will host their Imperiale wine selections of orange, rosa and brachetto curated cocktails featuring edible flowers, allowing guest to fully engage in Irene’s spring botanicl influence, while garden fresh macaroons in flavor of French lavender, lemon, raspberry, and more will be served, pushing the flora/fauna themed collection into full throttle.

Irene’s equivalence to such historic French fashion houses such as Nina Ricci, Jean Patou and Dior is undeniable when discussing the history of luxury brands particularly in the American thread of fashion. Credited for her couture-standard techniques, and known for being the queen of the mitered cut suits, as well as being the first designer to have a free standing boutique inide a luxury department store, British Vogue dubbed Irene’s designs as “California Elegance”. The re-launch of the House of Irene, continues to sustain the true art of American Luxury culture.

Starting his career as a sketch artist for the legendary Bob Mackie and designing the wardrobe for country music powerhouses such as Reba McEntire and The Judds, LaVoi’s resume reads like a red carpet premiere of A-list celebrities that he’s costumed: Ellen DeGeneres, Felicity Huffman, Sarah Paulson, Kristen Bell, and Zoe Saldana, among the list. LaVoi attended Los Angeles’ Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM), with industry notables Monique Lhuillier and Lubov Azria, who along with LaVoi, are part of Los Angeles’ ever progressive fashion culture.
