New York, September 17, 2013 – The Maestro Cares Foundation is set to host its second annual fundraiser in New York City on Thursday, October 10 from 6:00-10:00 p.m. at STAGE 48, located at 605 West 48th Street, in New York City. The red carpet event will feature an appearance by Maestro Cares founders Marc Anthony and Henry Cardenas, as well as WPIX news anchor Tamsen Fadal, the evening’s Master of Ceremonies.
The soiree will feature food by celebrity chef Ricardo Cardona, music, cocktails, and a silent auction. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Maestro Cares Foundation. The evening will be a homecoming of sorts for Anthony, who is the middle of his #VivirMiVida World Tour.
“I’m looking forward to getting back home to host this very special event,” said Anthony. “I can’t wait to meet with supporters of Maestro Cares in my hometown to share the Foundation’s progress and all the wonderful things that we are bringing to children in La Romana.”
Earlier this month, on September 9, Maestro Cares hosted an intimate gathering of 100 guests for the organization’s second annual fundraiser in Chicago. Held at Y-Bar, the red-carpet event helped raise funds to complete the construction of a new residence and learning center for orphaned children in the Dominican Republic. The evening included special appearances by founders Anthony and Cardenas, as well as Major League Baseball legend Ozzie Guillen and ABC’s John Quiñones, who served as the evening’s emcee. Illinois Governor Pat Quinn also declared September 9, 2013 as Maestro Cares Day in the State of Illinois. To view photos of the event, visit http://tinyurl.com/nokmaba.
“I am so proud to be working with Marc Anthony, Henry Cardenas and the rest of the Maestro Cares organization in their ongoing mission to help children throughout Latin America,” said Fadal. “Marc is a philanthropist who puts his heart and soul into this incredible organization and into making a difference in the lives of those less fortunate. It is a privilege to be alongside Marc and Maestro Cares in this journey.”
Pedro Zamora, Owner of Stage 48, and Chef Cardona believe in the simple and yet profound mission of Maestro Cares by providing life changing opportunities to orphaned children of Latin America.
