1. When did your love for poetry begin?
I was a very quiet girl, it was difficult to express myself with my voice, so I started doing it with writing. When I want to say something to anybody and I did ‘not dare, so I wrote a letter and send it to them. In writing I found a way to express myself without fear.
2. Where do you envision taking your writing?
I have asked myself this question many times. I think the letters have their own wings, I just wish my writing to always reach the person who needs to hear it at the right time.
3. If you could change the world through your poetry, what would be your message to heal the world?
Poetry has the power to transform everything, turn the ordinary things into something extraordinary. I would like poetry to reach women and girls, that when they read it they find tools or escape routes, either for their personal growth or to get out of difficult situations.
4. What brings you ALEGRIA?
The laughter of my sons, the possibility to dedicate myself to what I love to do, meet with my sisters, drink coffee, go to the mountains with my family, and know new places. Alegría comes to me with very simple things.
