nuevo álbum MultiViral de C-13
(San Juan, PR – 10 de abril de 2014) – Con la culminación de lo que denominaron la Primera Fase de la gira MultiViral, la agrupación puertorriqueña Calle 13 consolidó, una vez más, su fuerte arraigo en territorio Latinoamericano, al concluir exitosamente su recorrido alrededor varios países del continente, donde llenaron sus localidades con un total de 200,000 personas de todas las edades. Esta vez, su variado repertorio, incluye varios temas inéditos de su más reciente y 5ta producción musical discográfica que lleva el mismo título de la gira, entre estos: Multi_Viral, El Aguante, Adentro, Ojos color sol y La Vida (Respira el Momento).
Ha llamado la atención como esta agrupación, caracterizada por la diversidad en sus líricas, sus poderosos mensajes y distintivas fusiones musicales, ha incluido en sus presentaciones un momento de pausa para convocar a sus seguidores a encender los celulares en un llamado por la liberación de Oscar López Rivera, un preso político puertorriqueño que lleva más de 32 años, confinado en una Prisión Federal en los Estados Unidos por un delito de pensamiento, Conspiración Sediciosa, en defensa de la descolonización de Puerto Rico.

El respaldo masivo de su público ha sido constatado a través de varias fotografías circuladas, con múltiples “retweets” en los medios sociales, incluyendo mensajes dirigidos al Presidente Barack Obama, para que en un acto, no político sino de derechos humanos, firme la excarcelación de López Rivera.
Durante el mes de abril Calle 13 se presentará en el Istmo Fest de San Salvador (16) y en el Empire Music Festival de la Ciudad de Guatemala (17). En mayo, C-13 continuará su recorrido por diez escenarios más: Plaza de Bolívar en Bogotá, Colombia (14), Verbena Fest en el Estadio Real Santa Cruz, Bolivia (16), Centro de Convenciones Pedregal en San José, Costa Rica (17); y en los Estados Unidos: el City National Civic de San José, California (21), The Observatory Orange County en Santa Ana, California (22), The Rialto Theatre en Tucson, Arizona (23), Neon Desert Music Festival en El Paso, Texas (24), Austin City Limits Live at The Moody Theatre“, en Austin, Texas (25), House of Blues en Houston, Texas (26). Luego regresará a México para presentarse en el Territorio Santos Modelos de la ciudad de Torreón (30). La gira MultiViral de C-13 se extenderá hasta el 2015.
El álbum físico ya puede conseguirse en Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, España, México, Paraguay, Uruguay y Venezuela. El 22 de abril, saldrá a la venta en Puerto Rico y en los Estados Unidos. Para los que prefieren el formato digital, pueden accederlo a través de iTunes. Esta es la primera producción musical de Calle 13 bajo su propio sello disquero, El Abismo.

(San Juan, PR – April 10, 2014) – With the completion of what they called the first phase of their MultiViral Tour, Puerto Rican group Calle 13 consolidated, once again, its strong roots in Latin American territory, and successfully concluded its itinerary around several countries of the continent, with sold-out venues and an assistance of 200,000 people of all ages. Their varied repertoire includes several unreleased tracks from their latest and 5th- musical production, also titled “MultiViral”, among these: Multi_Viral, “El aguante” (Endurance), “Adentro” (Inside), “Ojos color sol” (Sun-colored eyes) and “La vida – Respira el momento”(Life – Breathe in the Moment).
It has drawn attention the way in which this group,-characterized by its diversity in lyrics, powerful messages and distinctive musical fusions- has made part of their performance a pause to ask their followers to turn on their mobiles in solidarity with the release of Oscar Lopez Rivera, a Puerto Rican political prisoner who has spent more than 32 years confined in a Federal prison in the United States, for what is defined as “seditious conspiracy”, a crime of thought, for defending the decolonization of Puerto Rico.
