El Paseo South Gate announced today a unique partnership with Kelsey Montague, the inspiring and internationally known street muralist behind the #WHATLIFTSYOU wings social media movement. Montague has taken her art all over the world painting murals in Australia, Switzerland, Costa Rica, and Argentina. Along with multiple art installations in cities across the U.S., El Paseo South Gate is proud to share Montague’s extraordinary talent with South Gate’s Hispanic students and community.
As part of Montague’s visit to South Gate, the artist will be creating three murals including her famous #WHATLIFTSYOU Wings and a colorful Monarch Butterfly Tree. Montague will also be spending one-on-one time with students from South Gate’s Visual and Performing Arts High School.
In addition to a visit by Montague to the local high school, students will also be traveling to the El Paseo South Gate site to observe the artist in-progress.
