Today, Grammy-nominated DJ and producer, Steve Aoki and International Latin superstar Daddy Yankee accompanied by Grammy award-winning singer Elvis Crespo and Grammy-nominated producers Play-N-Skillz released their music video for dance-inspired newest hit single “Azukita,” which premiered exclusively on Univision Network’s highest rated news magazine show, Primer Impacto. The song which was released on Feb 1st, premiered exclusively on Billboard here earlier this month.

The video, directed by Tyler Dunning Evans and produced by Matt Pfeffer, features Steve Aoki and Daddy Yankee battling each other in an “Azukita” video game using virtual reality goggles. The two build their own teams that compete with each other through dance battles, and those with the best moves advance. This creative makes for a high energy visual matching the upbeat vibe of the song and with an effortless fusion of EDM and Latin music. The video also features a performance by dancer and choreographer Brian Esperon along with others at SKIP Entertainment located in Guam, who are well-known for their viral dance videos on Youtube.

In fact, this song has inspired a global viral movement that heavily infiltrated the Zumba community, where Aoki resonates, and influenced other esteemed choreographers, dancers, models and notables to join. Just last year Aoki struck up a partnership with STRONG by Zumba, a high intensity interval training workout that’s designed with music as your motivator. He created a track specific to the workout made to match every single movement of the routine and instead of focusing on the cardio challenge ahead of you, the music-fitness combo is supposed to help get you to that last rep or set.

This once again proving his innate ability to create a uniting universal message through music, no matter the genre.
